How we run things

No property manager, no answering service. When you message us about a stay, the person replying is the person who owns the homes, sets the rates, and knows where the beach chairs are. That is why the reviews keep saying the communication was the easy part: across hundreds of stays the three homes hold 9.4 to 10 out of 10 on Vrbo and 4.77 to 4.93 out of 5 on Airbnb (as of July 2026), with a 15-quarter Airbnb Superhost streak behind them.

The homes

Happy Island Cottage is a two-story pool home in Holmes Beach, a 5 to 6 minute walk from the Gulf. Happy Turtle A and Happy Turtle B are the two sides of a beach duplex on Avenue C in Bradenton Beach, about 60 steps from the sand. All three are on Anna Maria Island, Florida. The two Turtle sides can also be booked together for a four-bedroom whole-property stay when a bigger group travels.

Licensed and by the book

We operate as Happy Island Cottage LLC, a licensed Florida vacation rental operator: Florida DBPR License #123613; City of Holmes Beach Vacation Rental Certificate VRC19-000050; FL DBPR Resort Dwelling License DWE5106980 (Bradenton Beach duplex). Florida and Manatee County lodging taxes (13%) are itemized on every direct invoice. Boring, and exactly how it should be.
